The Gothenburg English Speaking Theatre presents the Scandinavian premiere of
MY ROMANTIC HISTORY by D.C. Jackson
16 November - 6 December at Teater Trixter
Winner of the 2010 Fringe First Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival
A comedy about love, loss and laminating machines
"If you haven't met someone by the time you graduate, you're going to marry some idiot from your work. It’s that simple. Do you know how they get animals to breed in captivity? They put them in the same cage."
My Romantic History is a witty comedy about true love, or rather any kind of love, now that the true one got away. It's a play where laughter and the embarrassing silence of recognition share the stage. The original production of the play won a Fringe First at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, one of the most prestigious theatre awards in the world. It was followed by a sold out run at the Bush Theatre, London. It is with great pride that GEST now gives its own version of this celebrated comedy.
My Romantic History is performed in its original language, English, with actors from Britain.
