For many years, the continent of Africa has been described using words such as war, disastrous famine and Aids epidemic. But the continent has changed and so has this given image. Today, analysts are talking about Africa as a continent with the future at its feet, with the capacity for strong economic development and increased political stability.
Sten Rylander, former Head of SIDA in Botswana and Lesotho, and renowned diplomat, is one of these people. In this exciting lecture, he will reflect on his experiences of thirty years on the continent, and will talk about his new book 'Africa Turning - A Continent in Change'. Sten Rylander will share his views of Africa's great potential, but will also talk about the great challenges the continent still faces.
