Kenya Mpya, facilitating sustainable development in Kenya

Mike Mutungi is the leader of the initiative Kenya Mpya and the organization I Choose Life - Africa. During his lecture you will get the opportunity to learn more about Kenya Mpya's work for sustainable democratic development in Kenya.

Kenya Mpya is a pilot initiative to involve residents in the county of Machakos in processes to develop strategic framework for development in the county and its constituencies. The strategic framework has been developed and spread, and right now residents are getting involved in the process of identifying skills and characteristics of leaders who will be able to deliver according to these strategic frameworks. In this way, they shall be able to claim accountability of leaders who are elected at the election in March 2013. Their experience will be shared and used throughout Kenya.
