Palestinian child prisoners in Israeli jails
Ayed Abu Qqtaish and Iyad Misk from the Palestinian section of the child right organisation Defence for Children International (DCI) are holding a lecture on the realities facing Palestinian child prisoners in Israeli jails.
Each year approximately 500-700 Palestinian children from the occupied West Bank are prosecuted in Israeli military courts after being arrested, interrogated and detained by the Israeli army, police and security agents. The lecture will focus on recent developments, as well as persistent and credible reports of torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment within the system that has now been operating for over 44 years. The lecture at the Society of International Affairs is part of their speaking tour in Sweden.
OBS! The lecture will be held in ENGLISH!
Free for members, others 20 SEK.
Membership is only 50 SEK/year, and is available for subscription outside the auditorium before the lecture starts.
Göteborg, Sprängkullsgatan 25
