The Society of International Affairs in Gothenburg in co-operation with Kvinna till Kvinna welcomes you to a free film screening, open for everyone:
Six Days (2013) is a documentary about the courage of women in the aftermath of war. Lanja in the Kurdistan region of Iraq works against honour violence. Maia in Abkhazia/Georgia educates girls about their bodies and reproductive rights. Nelly in Liberia helps poor women to gain control over their own lives by getting an education. But all three pay a huge price for their activism. Threats, violence and poverty follows them in their fight for equality and justice.
Six Days is a celebration of the thousands of women that The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation has supported since it was founded 20 years ago. Women who tirelessly and often quietly fight for change in the wake of war and conflicts.
Six Days was produced by the Swedish production company Thelma/Louise for Kvinna till Kvinna.
