The Society of International Affairs welcomes you to a panel discussion that aims to highlight the situation of women in conflicts based on themes such as development, Resolution 1325, power, media and future prospects.
Members of the panel will be:
Kathleen Maccaughey, campaign manager at the organisation Actionaid, a global movement that together stand up for human rights and the fight against poverty.
Camilla Orjuela, Associate Professor in Peace and Development Research at University of Gothenburg.
Ianthe Holmberg, chair person of Svenska Kvinnors Vänsterförbund, SKV, the Left League of Swedish Women, a party-politically independent women's organisation with its roots in the women's suffrage and peace movement around World War 1.
Refreshments will be available before the lecture.
The lecture will be held in english. Please note that the lecture will be two hours long and held in auditorium Dragonen.
Entrance fee is 20 SEK, free for members of the Society of International Affairs (UF).
Membership is only 50 SEK for one year, and can be paid at the entrance.
