Informal Discussion With Three Young Refugees From Afghanistan.
UF Malmö is honored to announce an informal discussion with three young refugees from Afghanistan. Massieh (19), Zabihalleh (21), and Abdul (28) are willing to share their personal stories about how they came to Sweden, why they fled and how they are living now.
When asked what they would like to share with students from Malmö University during an interview, one of them answered:
“The Swedish government has told the Swedish people that they can’t go to Afghanistan because it is not safe, so what is the difference between the Swedish people and me, between the Swedish people and us? We are the same human being! If we go to Afghanistan we really have problems with the Taliban and the warlords, just as the Swedish people.... they tell us not, but still, the Swedish embassy remains closed in Afghanistan because of the security situation in the country."
For this informal discussion, we have decided to meet at the cafeteria in Gäddan (Citadellsvägen 7) and mingle in this open space.
Join us for yet another interesting discussion!
