Murasaki means purple, a colour which is associated with celebrations and royalty. The word was also anciently used for one of the most important components in the Japanese kitchen, soy sauce.
Since opening in 2003 we’ve made our own sauces from scratch, handpicked the best ingredients, filleted fish ourselves and sliced meat in our own manner. Step by step and recipe by recipe our Japanese menu has been refined for over a decade!
At Murasaki you can choose to grill the food yourself at the table or cook it in one of our home-made casseroles. We are also proud to be the only restaurant in central Stockholm that offers Teppanyaki, a concept where the chef prepares and serves the food directly in front of you! Also don't forget to visit our enjoyable private terrace, truly an oasis in the heart of the capital.
